After you've uploaded a list of Lottery Winners, you have the opportunity to send a consolation e-mail to those who weren't selected. Since all Lottery registrants have a Pending status until they are selected, the process of sending this e-mail will also mark all remaining Pending entries as Withdrawn. The consolation e-mail option is only available when the Lottery Selection Date is in the past. Please note that you MUST upload a Winner List before sending the Consolation Email.
To generate the confirmation e-mail:
- Go to the Lottery tab in your CT Live event and click the Email tab.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Send Consolation Email button.
- In the window that appears, you'll see a message stating that "All pending entries in this reg choice will have their status set to Withdrawn on the completion of this action." Click Send to send the e-mail and complete the status change.
- After you click Send, another message will display how many registrants received the Consolation Email. Click Finish to complete the process.
The e-mail which the registrants receive is shown below. It is not currently editable, but there are plans to allow addition of a custom message in the future.
